Pumpkin Pie with Sweet Pecan Crumble
A slice of Pumpkin Pie topped with a Sweet Maple Pecan Crunchy topping. So easy to make a perfect for the Holidays.
Ingredients:
- 1 Can (15 oz) Pumpkin Puree
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1/8 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
- 1/4 Teaspoon Ginger
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup (for Pie Filling)
- 3/4 Cup Heavy Cream
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Pie Crust, Prepared
- 2 Cups Crushed Pecans, Available in our Fruit Nut and Candy Section
- 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup, Plus 1 Tablespoon (for Crumble Topping)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425ºF.
- Combine Pumpkin Puree, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cloves, Ginger and Salt in a large bowl. Stir until well mixed.
- Slowly stir in Eggs, Maple Syrup, Heavy Cream and Vanilla into the bowl until evenly mixed.
- Lay the Pie Crust into a pie dish and shape.
- Slowly pour the filling into the pie crust.
- Bake for 15 Minutes.
- Lower heat to 350ºF. Bake for another 50 Minutes.
- Meanwhile, add Chopped Pecans, Maple Syrup and Salt into a bowl. Mixing until well coated. Let them soak for 15 Minutes.
- While the Pecans are soaking in the line a baking tray with Parchment Paper. Lay them out on the baking tray. Pop in the oven and let them cook for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and once cooled, add remaining Maple Syrup to the Pecans.
- Sprinkle the Maple Pecan Crumble over your Pumpkin Pie and Enjoy!
