Orange Chicken
Flavorful Orange Chicken served over white rice topped with Toasted Sesame Seeds.
Ingredients:
- 3 Boneless Chicken Breast, Cubed
- 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce, PLUS 1 Tablespoon
- 3/4 Cup Orange Juice, PLUS 2 Tablespoons
- 1/4 Cup Cornstarch, PLUS 1 Tablespoon
- 1 Clove Garlic, Minced
- 1 Teaspoon Grated Fresh Ginger
- Salt and Pepper, To Season
- 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- Orange Zest, from 1 Orange
- 1/2 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
- White Rice, Cooked, For Serving
- Toasted Sesame Seeds, For Serving
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce, 2 Tabespoons Orange Juice, 1/4 Cup Cornstarch, Garlic, Ginger, Salt and Pepper.
- Add Chicken to the bowl of marinade and coat well. Allow to marinate for at least 1 hour (for best flavor marinate the night before).
- Heat Vegetable Oil in a Pan over Medium High Heat. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the chicken from marinade to pan. Cook until all sides of Chicken are golden brown.
- Add remaining ingredients to the pan and bring to Boil while mixing continuously until the sauce thickens - for about 5 Minutes.
- Add Chicken over bowl of Cooked Rice. Sprinkle with Toasted Sesame Seeds.
