Maple Apples with Chicken Waffles
A Classic merging of Breakfast and Dinner. We love these Chicken Waffles!
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Butter

1 Peeled and Sliced Honeycrisp Apple
- 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- Dash of Nutmeg
- 1 Cooked Chicken Breast, Sliced very thin
- 1 Egg
- 3/4 Cup Milk
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 1/2 Tablespoons Oil
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1/2 Tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- Heat Butter Skillet over medium heat. Add Apple Slices and sauté for 8 minutes or until golden brown. Add Maple Syrup and Cinnamon. Bring to bubble on low boil.
- Meanwhile, Whisk the Egg, Milk, Vanilla Extract, and Oil in a large bowl.
- In a separate larger bowl, sift Flour, Baking Powder, Sugar, and Salt. Add wet ingredients. Stir to combine well.
- Add in the Chicken and toss until its well coated.
- Set your waffle iron on a low setting. Add mixture by spooning the batter (with the chicken) into each section. Cook for about 10 Minutes or until cooked through. Repeat with the rest of the batter.
- Serve topped with Maple Apples and Enjoy!
