It seems to be a rather popular tradition to serve Mom Breakfast In Bed…the food itself doesn’t have to be anything too fancy or elaborate. It could be as simple as a big bowl of her favorite Kellogg’s Cereal, with a Dannon Yogurt topped with fresh berries from our Berry A Rama Sale. Brew a hot cup of Maxwell House Coffee with a glass of Simply Orange Orange Juice. We find that when it comes to serving Breakfast In Bed, presentation is just as important as the food you’re serving. Get a nicely decorated tray to serve your food on. Place a small vase of flowers and your Mother’s Day Card on the tray…and breakfast is served! If its a nice day, prepare a picnic for the whole family to enjoy lunch outside in the beautiful weather.
Make this Mother’s Day extra special. Have the kids create and design their own menu for Mom, which keeps them involved but out of the kitchen. We included every course in our menu, from Beverages to Desserts. Try listing as many selections as possible–just make sure you can make them first! Last Mother’s Day we included all of her favorite beverages and foods but changed the name to something clever- perhaps including special nicknames into the title of the recipe. You can even get creative by setting up your dining area as a temporary “Restaurant”. Make sure you bring the kids by any of our stores on Saturday, May 12th from 10 am – 2 pm to decorate their own Mother’s Day Cake in our Bakery department. That way you can serve that as a special dessert!
Come visit us for our Berry A Rama! Mix & Match the freshest varieties of Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries and Blackberries to use in your recipes for Mom. Make chocolate covered berries, or serve on top of our Dessert Shells on sale in our Bakery Department topped with Cabot Whipped Cream for a simple, but sweet and tasty dessert!
