| Clams In Puttanesca Sauce |

Recipe Type: Entree
- 12 Fresh Clams
- 1 Shallot, Chopped
- 2/3 Cup Fresh Parsley, Chopped
- 1 Teaspoon Butter
- 8 oz Prepackaged Clams
- 1 Jar Puttanesca Sauce
- 1 Package Spiga di Puglia Farfalle
- Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
- Boil a large pot of water.
- Rinse the fresh clams well and place into a small saucepan.
- Add in the shallot, parsley and butter to the pan of clams. Set to the side.
- Drain the packaged clams, reserving 1/4 cup of the juice. Take the clams, reserved juice and Puttanesca Sauce and mix together in a saucepan placed over medium heat.
- Put the pasta in the pot of boiling water and cook according to directions on package.
- Place the cover on the pan with the fresh clams and put on high for five minutes. Turn the heat off and let them continue to steam for another 5 minutes.
- Once cooked, mix together the linguine with puttanesca and clam sauce. Add steamed clams on top as garnish. Serve with Red Pepper Flakes if desired.
