Recipe Type: Entree
- 2 Tablespoons Filippo Berio Olive Oil
- 1 All Purpose Yellow Onion, Diced
- 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 1/2 lbs Fresh Ground Pork and Beef Mix
- 3 Cups Barilla Pasta Sauce
- 1/2 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
- 2 Packages Pepperidge Farm Garlic Bread, Bake according to Directions
- 1 1/2 Cups Stella Shredded Cheese Blends
- Add 1 Tablespoon of oil into a skillet and place over medium heat. Add in the onion and garlic. Cook until the onion is tender. Remove the onion and garlic from the skillet and set to the side.
- Take the remaining oil and heat up the remaining oil in the skillet over medium high heat. stir in the beef, pork and veal mix. Cook until browned, stirring often to separate the meat.
- Bring the onion and garlic to the skillet. Stir in the sauce and red pepper. Bring the heat down to low Let cook for 20 minutes or until the meat is cooked through.
- Cut the baked bread into thirds. Evenly distribute the meat mixture along the bottom of the bread pieces.
- Add cheese on top of the remaining bread pieces.
