Recipe Type: Entree
- 1/3 Cup Firmly Packed Domino Lite Brown Sugar
- 1/3 Cup Cider Vinegar
- 8 oz Drained Dole Pineapple Tidbits, Reserve Juice
- 3 Tablespoons Kikkoman Soy Sauce
- 1 Teaspoon Fresh Garlic, Chopped Finely
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- Beef Round Top Round Steak, Cut Into 1 1/2 Inch Pieces
- 1 Cup Carrots,
- 1 All Purpose Yellow Onions, Cut Into 1 Inch Pieces
- 3 Tablespoons Corn Starch
- 3 Tablespoons Cold Water
- 1 Large Green Bell Pepper, Cut Into 1 Inch pieces
- Mix together the brown sugar, Vinegar, Reserved Pineapple Juice, Soy Sauce and Garlic into a bowl. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Set to the side.
- Take a skillet and melt a tablespoon of butter . When butter begins to sizzle, place half of the steak pieces into the skillet and cook over medium high heat.
- Stir occasionally until browned. Put the steak into the slow cooker and repeat with the rest of the butter and steak.
- Add in the onions and carrots to the crock pot. Pour the pineapple juice mixture and pour over the veggies. Place the cover on the cooker.
- Cook on the low setting for 7 to 8 hours (or on High for 3 to 4 hours), or until the meat is tender.
- Increase the heat to high. In a small bowl, let cornstarch dissolve in cold water. Stir in the cornstarch mixture, pineapple chunks and green pepper into slow cooker. Cover.
- Continue to cook for 30 minutes, or until pepper is tender and juices become thickened.
- Serve.
