Whether you’re packing your own lunch, or filling up the kids’ lunchboxes, add some excitement into your food. Use football shaped cookie cutters to shape your sandwiches into something festive and fun. Squeeze mustard or use mayonnaise to create lines on your “football” and use a dark bread like pumpernickel. We made a Tuna Melt using StarKist Chunk Light Tuna (5/$4 – 5 oz) and a couple slices of Great Lakes White American Cheese ($4.59 Lb). We just used a knife to carve the sandwich into a the shape of a football. Pack up some Chips Ahoy! Cookies (2/$6 – 9.5-14 oz) and some Green Seedless Grapes ($1.69 Lb) for treats to enjoy on the side. Use a leaf-shaped cookie cutter to slice pieces of cheese to serve with some crackers to add to your Autumn theme.
Make a delicious Panini using slices of Montchevre Goat Cheese Log ($3.29 – 4 oz), Prosciutto, Krauss Honey Ham ($5.99 Lb) and Napoli Roasted Peppers (2/$3 – 12 oz).
