
We always make a point of personally taste testing the products we carry. Of course, it would be nearly impossible to eat absolutely everything in our stores, but we were particularly drawn to this item in our Deli Department. The other day while shopping, we figured it was time to pick up these New York Style Bagel Crisps and see what they’re all about. And boy, are we glad we did.
The idea of a crispy bagel, in itself is intriguing. But this snack is completely limitless with possibilities. They would be perfect to add to a dish of pasta, use to dunk into your favorite dips, create mini sandwiches with or even just enjoy them as they are. The story behind these special snack crackers is just as inspirational as the product itself.
They were created by Jim Burns and Gary Ricker in 1978, when they decided to serve gourmet cheese on something other than your ordinary cracker. Once they introduced the city of New York with their ingenious snack idea, they were soon selling bagfuls of Bagel Crisps! What was originally planned to be just a small change in how they sample gourmet cheese, became a huge hit.
Crunchy. Savory. Flavorful. These tasty snack crackers exceeded far beyond our expectations. We love the versatility of Bagel Crisps, because there are so many ways you can enjoy them.
