Here are some ideas on what to do with these different berries besides just enjoying them as they are.
Add some raspberries on top of your Dole Regular Salad Mix ($2.99 – 10 oz), or you can make your very own Raspberry Vinaigrette. Puree 1/2 Cup Raspberries, 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar, 1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar, 1 Tablespoon Sugar and 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard in a food processor. When it has become smooth, slowly add 1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil until it is blended together well. Serve over your salad.
If you’re the crafty type, use the berries to make your own variety of homemade jam. Store in mason jars and wrap with ribbon to give as gifts to your friends.
Make fruit parfaits by layering Dannon Yogurt (10/$5 – 6 oz) with raspberries, blackberries and sliced strawberries.
Berries are the perfect thing to add on top of cereal in the morning. They add that sweet flavor you need to wake right up. Toss some on top of a bowl of Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes (2/$5 – 17 oz) for breakfast.
Make a fresh berry smoothie. Try different combinations of fruit to find your favorite flavor.
