| Cheesy Pasta, Ham And Veggies |
- 1 1/2 Cups Prince Pasta Medium Shells
- 4 Cups Fresh Broccoli
- 1 Vidalia Onion, Chopped Finely
- 1 Triple M Boneless Ham Steak, Cut Into Chunks
- 1 Sweet Red Pepper, Diced
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, Divided
- 1/3 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 4 Cups Hood 1% Milk
- 2 1/2 Cups Borden Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, Minced
- 2 Teaspoons Dijon Mustard
- Garlic Powder
- Italian Seasoning
- Ground Pepper
- 1/3 Cup Bread Crumbs
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cook the Prince Pasta according to the directions on package.
- While you are cooking the shells, add 1 Inch of water into a large saucepan. Boil and add in the broccoli. Reduce the heat to simmer and cover. Let simmer for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the broccoli has become tender.
- Take another large saucepan and saute the onion, ham and red pepper in 1 tablespoon of butter. Saute until tender and heated through. Sprinkle flour over the veggies and stir. Gradually pour milk to the pan (while stirring). Bring to a boil. Let cook for a couple minutes, stirring, until it becomes thick. Add the cheese, parsley and mustard. Season with garlic powder, Italian Seasoning and ground pepper according to your taste. Stir very well until blended. Drain broccoli and the shells.
- Stir the broccoli and pasta into the saucepan with your cheese sauce.
- Grease a 2 quart baking dish and empty everything from the saucepan into the dish.
- Take a small skillet and melt the remaining butter. Add breadcrumbs and stir. Cover the pasta with the breadcrumbs and put in the oven. Let cook for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until heated through. Serve.
