Recipe Type: Side Dish
- 4 Lbs Southern Sweet Potatoes
- 2/3 Cup Domino Light Brown Sugar
- 5 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
- 2 Cups Kraft Mini Marshmallows
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Peel the sweet potatoes and slice into pieces about 1 inch thick. Arrange them in a 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Place a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Add sugar, butter, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg into the pan. Bring to a boil. Stir until the sugar has dissolved.
- Pour the mixture over the potatoes. Toss with a spoon to get them completely coated.
- Place foil over the dish and put in the oven for 50 minutes. Remove cover and continue to bake until potatoes are tender (syrup will be slightly thick). Baste occasionally while they are in the oven.
- Raise the heat to 500°F and add the marshmallows over the of the potatoes and place back in the oven.
- Let the marshmallows melt for a few minutes and remove from the oven. Serve.
