Lilies
They bring a house to life when their large vibrant white flowers begin to bloom. Lilies are perfect to give or receive during the Easter season. Whether you’re decorating your own house this spring, or don’t want to show up empty handed to the Easter gathering. Here’s how to take care of them so they don’t wilt.
Lilies should be placed in an area with some light, but not directly in the sun. Be sure to keep them away from areas where there are drafts or heaters. When your flowers have bloomed, you should remove the anthers (the yellow things from the center), which prolongs the life of the blossoms. There is such a thing as over watering a plant, However, you want the soil to be moist. Water your lily when the soil is dry to the touch.
Hyacinths
We consider Hyacinths to be a necessity to have around for the springtime. Their fragrance and gorgeous colors will catch your eye no matter where they are in the room. Keep your hyacinths in bright locations. The soil should always be moist (but be careful not to make the soil soggy). When you water it thoroughly, we suggest placing the whole plant in your sink. Allowing it to drain completely.
Tulips
Taking care of your tulips are pretty much like most other plants. Water them when the soil is dry to the touch, but be careful not to over water them. How often you need to water them will depends on where you place the tulips. We suggest placing them by the windowsill.
Daffodils
Daffodils can be tricky if they are not taken care of properly. One of the most common mishaps with these spring flowers is the stems toppling out of the pot. To avoid this from happening, you should place daffodils in direct sunlight when they are beginning to bloom. They should be placed in a cool area, and make sure the soil maintains its moisture.
