Recipe Type: Entree
- 4 Lbs Fresh Pork Spareribs
- 1/3 Cup Aunt Sue’s Raw Honey
- 1/4 Cup Heinz Ketchup
- 1/4 Cup Red Wine Vinegar
- 1/4 Cup Tropicana Premium Orange Juice
- 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 2 Tablespoons Tabasco Sauce
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- Put spareribs into a saucepan and add enough water to cover the ribs. Place over high heat and boil. Reduce heat to low and cover. Let simmer for 1 hour, or until ribs are tender. Drain the ribs.
- While the ribs are cooking, combine honey, ketchup, vinegar, orange juice, garlic, Tabasco sauce and salt into a saucepan over high heat. Lower the heat and let simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes (or until mixture becomes thickened).
- Preheat your oven to 450°F. Put the ribs onto a broiler pan.
- Using a brush, cover the ribs with the sauce. Put in the oven and let cook for about 20 minutes.
- Brush periodically with the mixture and turn the ribs once while they’re cooking.
