Desserts
Everyone’s favorite course. Hood Ice Cream (2/$5 – 48 oz) is a must buy item. You’ll need ice cream no matter what. Whether it’s served by itself or scooped on top of another dessert.
We are a big fan of making what we like to call Zebra Cake. All you need are Chocolate Wafers and some Cool Whip ($1.19 – 8 oz). Take each wafer and spread a spoonful of Cool Whip on the sides, sticking them together like a sandwich. Stand them up on a plate (spread some Cool Whip on the plate first, so they stay up straight. Once you have finished using the wafers, carefully spread the entire log with cool whip. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. When ready to serve, cut each piece at an angle to get the “zebra” stripes.
Jell-O No Bake Desserts (2/$4) will make your life a lot easier if you’re in a hurry. Enjoy their No-Bake Cheescake or Cookies N’ Cream Cake for dessert.
Use Pillsbury Brownie Mix (2/$3 – 19.5 oz) to make brownies. Remove from the oven a few minutes before they’re baked and try placing Kraft Marshmallows (.99¢ – 10-10.5 oz) on top. Once they begin to melt, remove from the oven and spread across the top of the brownies. Sprinkle some mini chocolate chips on top and let cool before serving.
