This is for anyone who has found themselves in the middle of following an intricate recipe, only to discover you are missing a certain ingredient. Yes, its happened to us all. Maybe you didn’t bother checking because you just “knew” you had everything you needed. Or perhaps you did check all the ingredients, but one just seemed to have magically appeared onto the recipe card. Whatever the issue may be…we’ve been there. Nobody wants to leave the house to go buy that forgotten ingredient while they are covered in flour. Save yourself the sanity by using a substitute. Naturally, you can’t substitute everything we use while cooking or baking. But we have a specially made list of ingredients to use if you’re in need of a replacement.

| Curly Parsley | Italian Parsley, Cilantro or Celery Tops |
| Dill Leaf | Tarragon |
| Lemon Thyme | Thyme and Lemon Zest |
| Marjoram | Oregano (2 parts Oregano = 3 parts Marjoram), Sage, Thyme or Basil |
| Parsley | Chervil, Celery Tops or Cilantro |
| Rosemary | Savory or Thyme |
| Savory | Thyme |
| Cayenne Pepper | Red Chili Pepper, Paprika (is milder), or Red Pepper Flakes |
| Almonds Extract | Vanilla Extract (May need to use a little more) |
| Chocolate Chips | M&Ms, Chocolate Bar (broken into pieces) |
| Cinnamon Sugar | Mix together 7 parts granulated sugar with 1 part ground cinnamon |
| Corn Syrup | Honey |
| Ritz Crackers | Saltine Crackers, Water Crackers |
| Shallot | Green Onion (White Part Only) |
