Ingredients
- 4 Fresh Pork Loin Boneless Pork Chops ($2.99 lb)
Apple Dressing:
- 2 Slices Whole Wheat Bread, Sliced into bite sizes
- 1 Granny Smith Apple, Peeled and Chopped Finely
- 1 Rib of Celery, Chopped Finely
- 4 Green Onions, Thinly Sliced (Green and White Parts)
- 1/4 Cup Chicken Broth
- 1 Egg
- 1 Teaspoon Dried Sage
- Pepper, To Taste
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F. Combine all ingredients for Apple Dressing in bowl. Mix until the bread is moist. Bring half of the dressing to an 8 inch square baking dish. Spread with a spoon for a smooth spread along the base of dish. Place pork chops into the bottom layer of dressing. Cover the pork chops with the remaining dressing and spread over evenly. Place a cover on the dish and put in the oven for 30 minutes. Take cover off and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes (or until pork is fully cooked and dressing is golden brown).
