Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric
- 1 Cup Uncooked White Success Rice ($1.99 – 14 oz)
- 1 Medium Size Onion, Chopped
- 1 Garlic Clove, Minced
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Can Chicken Broth (Have Enough Water to Measure 2.5 Cups)
- 8 oz. Sea Best Brand Bay Scallops, Halved Crosswise ($4.59 – 16 oz. Frozen Package)
- 8 oz. Large Cooked Cocktail Shrimp Peeled and Deveined ($6.99 lb)
- Green Giant Peas (5/$5 – 8-10 oz), Partially Thawed
- Pepper To Taste
Directions
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add in the Turmeric and stir. Add in the rice, onion and garlic and cook for 3 to 5 minutes while stirring often. When the onion becomes translucent add in the broth mixture and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down. Cover the skillet and allow to simmer for 15 minutes or so. After adding scallops, shrimp and peas, simmer for another 5-7 minutes covered. Make sure shrimp scallops and peas are well cooked. Add pepper and salt for seasoning.
