Many of us start off our day attempting to brew a fresh pot of coffee while simultaneously running out the door to beat morning traffic. But do you drink a cup with your lunch? We have good news for those of you who do. A recent study has found drinking coffee with your lunch can reduce your risk of developing type 2 Diabetes. According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, a study conducted on almost 70,000 French women suggested a strong relationship between those who drank coffee and the development of the disease. The findings from the 11 year study showed only those who drank their coffee at lunchtime lowered their risks. There could be many possible explanations for why drinking coffee only at noontime has an effect. Whatever the reason, it is clear that this study has opened many doors for Type 2 Diabetes research. So start enjoying a nice hot Cup O’ Joe with your lunch.
