Have you found unique uses for your Fruit Basket? Share your ideas with us…
Fruit Baskets are popular traditional gifts during the holidays. And whether you’ve given or received one we have some not so traditional uses for enjoying your fresh fruits. Most of us would display our bountiful basket to add a festive look to the table but these beauties taste even better than they look.
So take a bite out of these ideas. Everything tastes better with Chocolate. Melt some of Trucchi’s Premium Chocolate Break Up (Dark, Milk and White) from our Produce department, and dip your fruit. And if you’re looking for a salty, not sweet, treat; slice fruit and dunk it in Peanut Butter.
Be crafty, we must warn you it may be time consuming. Carve the fruit and turn it into something. It could be your own masterpiece. There are endless possibilities to what you could make.

First I’d take the fruit out and use the basket to carry snacks and drinks to a friend’s house for New Year’s Eve. The oranges can be used to play “pass the orange” during the New Year’s festivities.
The apples, pears, kiwi, and any berries can be diced up and mixed with a little brown sugar, white sugar, and a bit of jam to make a great fruit dip for cinnamon and sugar Ritz (on sale now) or homemade cinnamon sugar baked tortilla crisps.
