We Would like to thank all who participated in our Joy To The World Coloring Contest.  Winners are being notified by their local Trucchi's Supermarkets throughout New Year's Day.  Your thoughtful thank you notes to our Troops will soon be making their way oversees with the help of Cell Phones For Soldiers and a Bridgewater State College employee's personal growing list of Troops from families in this area.

This instruction sheet is to help guide you through the holidays, regardless of what you are putting in your oven. These times and temperatures will not only be important during the Holidays, but far after the season is over.

 Have you ever cooked artichokes before? Many of us have had the jarred artichokes that are in many dips, but nobody seems to use the real thing. Try this new recipe for cooking them, Italian Style. Don't worry if you haven't cooked artichokes before, we have step by step instructions. We'll walk you through it.

Trucchi's is proud to present our updated Gluten Free Guide to the items we currently carry. We've received numerous requests from customers adhering to special diet restrictions.  Gluten is the general term for a mixture of many protein fragments found in common cereal grains, most commonly rye, wheat and barley. If your diet requires gluten-free food, we have many products available for you. If we don't have it, let us know and we will do our best to get it in.

Trucchi's CAN Hunger!  program has hit the $30,000 mark.  The program that delivers your donated pre-filled food to food pantries around the region started November 2008.  We're proud to say that our customers and employees have answered the call in amazing ways. 

Since February, when CAN Hunger officially added pre-filled donation bags year round to the program, you've helped the area's needy by donating  tons, of non-perishable canned or boxed food items. 

The pre-filled bags are on display in the front of each Trucchi's location.  Each register has a sleeve of scan cards $5, $10, $15, $20.  Each bag has different items. We run our scan report and tally the items and and the goods are distributed in cases to food pantries in communities that are home to Trucchi's.  (The locations are Taunton Coyle and Cassidy Food Pantry, West Bridgewater, The West Bridgewater Food Pantry, Abington, St. Vincent De Paul, New Bedford, Solanus Casey Food Pantry.)

So, this is just a little thank you for helping the program reach an incredible milestone in such a short period of time.  We're confident that with the holidays coming, these pantries will be able to depend on the continued support of Trucchi's customers and employees.

In addition, Trucchi's provides space where customers and employees leave specifically donated food items of their choosing.  We see many customers doubling up on a good deal and leaving an item each time they shop.  When you have many individuals doing this every time they shop the items add up quickly.
